Pooper Scooper FAQ

How does it work?
Depending on the service you order, whether it is weekly pick up, bi-weekly or monthly we place you on a prescheduled monthly calendar. For example, if you order once a week service and you live in Orono, Newcastle or Bowmanville than your yard will be serviced on Tuesdays. You may have us call you before we service your yard as well. And you have the option of allowing Nature Calls to hang a door hanger on your door to notify that your service has been completed.

Satisfaction Guaranteed?
If you are not completely satisfied with your service, please call us within 24 hours of the cleaning, and we’ll re-clean your property at no charge!  This is our no-hassle guarantee.

We however cannot guarantee our service when working in areas that have tall grass or weeds, or when there are excessive amounts of leaves, ivy, trash, mud, or snow as this makes it difficult to visibly see what needs to be removed.  We also cannot guarantee our service when waste is cleaned from between rocks.  But even under these circumstances, we will always do our absolute best to get every piece of waste disposed of.  After all, we want your property to be clean and we want you to be happy!

Is there a contract? How can I cancel my service?
No, there isn’t a contract. If you need to suspend or cancel service, simply email us or call the office.  You will be reimbursed only what fees are left pending, if any, for that month as you are billed on a monthly cycle.

Additional charges
The customer may be subject to an initial cleanup charge up to $45 if the yard has not been maintained.

Do we work through the winter? What happens when it snows or there is extreme weather conditions?
We sure do! Your pets keep making that mess all year round and Nature Calls continues to clean up and remove dog waste throughout the winter. We’ll work in most weather conditions, but heavy rain, snow, or a declared State of Emergency can stop us.
If there is heavy snow fall or heavy rain we will postpone that day’s service until the next scheduled visit only if we are not able to visit within 48hrs due to weather or a scheduling conflict.

Should I unlock my gate?
Yes. Since employees are not to climb or jump over fences, please have your gate unlocked on your service day. You may provide us with a key to the lock or tell us the combination if that will be more convenient for you. Please note that if the gate is locked we will attempt to return the next day pending our schedule and we may charge you for the service call that may not be completed due to not having access to the yard.

Can you work with our dog(s) in the yard?

In most cases, yes. We get along very well with dogs. However, there are some cases when a dog will not let our Scooper Trooper into the yard. If you know that your dog is not good with strangers, or if it becomes apparent that your dog will not allow us to clean the yard, then we ask that you restrain or confine the dog in order for us to perform our service.

As a customer do I have any responsibilities?
To better service you, please be mindful of the following:

  • Yards must be accessible
  • Grass and leaves should be kept to a minimum so we can locate the waste
  • Aggressive dogs must be left indoors on scheduled cleaning days
  • Payments must be made in a timely manner
